The Human Relations Department Internship Program is a collaborative effort between Greensboro colleges and universities and our department. The goal of the program is to empower young professionals by equipping them with the tools needed to build a successful career in local government or public service, while fostering sustainable relationships with universities in our community.

Hours and requirements are tailored to the intern’s desired learning outcomes. The intern will gain valuable exposure to the inner workings of government and receive hands-on experience navigating the political culture and organizational environment that government embodies.
Human Relations team members will provide mentoring in fields of interest and include interns in the facilitation of special projects and community events that provide them with professional development opportunities and add layers of experience to their portfolios.
