Initially created as a standard subcommittee of the Human Rights Commission and chaired by one individual, the City of Greensboro's International Advisory Committee (IAC) was restructured in 2015 to allow the immigrant and refugee community to elect a leadership team of five members, including a chair, two vice chairs, a secretary, and one executive member.
The sixth biennial election is scheduled from noon to 3 pm on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at Hester Park, 935 Ailanthus St. This year's election is held in conjunction with Greensboro's World Refugee Day Celebration. City residents will elect the individuals to two-year terms in the following five positions:
- Chair
- Vice Chair (2 positions)
- Secretary
- Executive Member
