The mission and vision of the LGBTQ+ Task Force (LGBTQ+TF) is to provide public education on lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer issues and to improve the quality of life for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer residents of Greensboro.

The City of Greensboro developed the LGBTQ+TF to address the varying needs of the City's lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer communities. With the support and direction of the Human Rights Department, the task force is charged with examining rules, policies, and procedures that create discriminatory barriers for those who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer.
