Our Divisions

Belonging and Engagement
This division's mission is to create a culture that is inclusive and provides strategies and best practices for internal and external customers to assist with recruitment, hiring, promoting, and engaging a diverse, results-oriented, high-performing workforce.

Boards and Commissions
The Human Rights staff supports members of five commissions and committees by providing information and logistical support, and acting as liaisons between City staff, City Council members, and commissioners. Learn more about serving on a board or commission.

Outreach and Education
The goal of this division is to expand understanding and promote equity and inclusion in Greensboro through events and programs.

Fair Housing
It is illegal for anyone to discriminate in any public or private residential real-estate transaction. This includes buying, selling, renting, financing, and advertising. The Fair Housing Division investigates complaints of housing discrimination based on race, color, religion, sexual orientation, national origin, gender, gender identity, gender expression, handicap, or familial status.
