Greater Greensboro Senior Games & SilverArts

The Greater Greensboro Senior Games offer over 35 athletic competitions for Guilford County residents ages 50 and over. First, second, and third place winners in their age group qualify for NC Senior Games State Finals each fall. Every other year is a qualifying year for National Senior Games (2026 is a qualifying year for National Senior Games in Summer 2027.)  SilverArts is the artistic portion of Senior Games with Heritage Arts, Visual Arts, Literary Arts and Performing Arts categories.  SilverArts winners are also eligible to compete in the state SilverArts competition in the fall.

Registration for the 2027 Greater Greensboro Senior Games begins February 1, 2027.
Registration deadline: February 26, 2027
Event dates: March 30 to May 1, 2027
SilverArts dates: May 4-5, 2027

Our Mission

The mission of the Greater Greensboro Senior Games is to promote healthy lifestyles -- both mentally and physically -- by encouraging seniors to practice and participate in their chosen events throughout the year. There are a variety of events available, so there is something for everyone.

The Greater Greensboro Senior Games is sanctioned by NC Senior Games Inc., a nonprofit organization, and sponsored statewide by the NC Division of Aging.
