Balance Screenings
Third Tuesdays, 12-12:45 pm - Smith

FYZICAL Therapy & Balance offers free monthly screenings to help you identify your risk of falling. A trained physical therapist will evaluate your balance, gait, strength, and flexibility. Screenings are at Smith in the odd months, and Trotter in the even months. Check the monthly calendar. Please call the correct center for an appointment.

Blood Glucose & Blood Pressure Checks
Second Wednesdays, 10 am to 12 noon - Trotter
Third Wednesdays, 10 am to 12 noon - Smith
UNCG's School of Nursing provides free blood glucose and blood pressure checks monthly at Trotter and Smith. Second Wednesdays at Trotter and third Wednesdays at Smith. Check the monthly calendar. No appointment necessary.

Grief Support Group
Mondays, 6 pm - Smith
This free support group is facilitated by Frankie Lane, retired social worker specializing in bereavement. Weekly topics include anger, depression, anxiety, and disorganization. For more information, call 336-373-7564.

Legal Aid of NC provides free legal services to eligible adults on the first Thursday of even months, by appointment, at the Smith Center. Please call 1-877-579-7562 for an appointment.

Medicare Insurance Counseling
Weekly, by appointment - Smith and Trotter
The Seniors Health Insurance Information Program (SHIIP) counsels beneficiaries on Medicare plans and can provide resources to help pay for medications.
