2019 Fall Programs & Outings

Adaptive and Inclusive Recreation (AIR) offers a variety of quality recreational programs and special events for individuals of all abilities. Select programs offer transportation for individuals who live within City limits, based on availability. Smith Active Adult Center Open House

Social Hour
Join us in this weekly program to play cards and games while socializing and meeting new friends in a fun and friendly environment.

Tuesday Bowling
Get ready to roll! In this weekly program we'll socialize, and try to top our best scores! Adaptive equipment available if needed.
Fee: $2 per game
Tuesdays, 10-11:30 am, September 24 to November 26 (*No bowling on November 19).

Thursday Bowling
Get ready to show everyone your incredi-bowl strikes. In this weekly program, we socialize, try to top our best scores, and utilize adaptive equipment if needed.
Fee: $2 per game
Thursday, 10-11:30 am, October 10, 17, 31, and November 21.

Chair Fitness and Strength Training
This exercise program is designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement, and flexibility. It will be a combination of chair yoga and chair fitness. Hand-held weights and elastic tubing are offered for resistance.  Go at your own pace -- high, low, or with the flow. A strength training component is available with an instructor in the weight room.
Fee: Free
Fridays from 10:30-11:30 am, September 27 to November 22 (*No chair fitness on October 4).

VI Group Clubs
Designed for individuals with visual impairments. 

VI Travel Club
These community day trips are designed for participants with visual impairments and their families.
