Drama Center at City Arts
The Drama Center offers one- and two-week workshops, production camps, and classes in filmmaking, Broadway dance, acting, and musical theatre.
The Drama Center is excited to be collaborating again this summer with CVA and the Dance Project for several weeks of camps. Students will learn both on-stage and backstage techniques. You must register online for collaboration camps.
The Music Center at City Arts
The Music Center offers music camps for ages newborn through 18 years old (and beyond) including Kindermusik and Guitar Camp. The center also offers Carolina Band Blast Band Camp for adults interested in reliving the camp experience for one weekend during the summer. Performance opportunities in various community ensembles are also available for individuals of all ages.
Arts Ignite provides an opportunity for students to experience the whole spectrum of visual and performing arts in one place. Discover and pursue your passion. Dance! Drama! Music! Art! Do it all in this unique and exciting program. Participants will attend two workshops in the morning and two workshops in the afternoon. Workshops will have a specific focus in each art form, which will change each day. In addition to learning about performing and visual arts from professional artists, campers will participate in performances, showcases, and sharing, making this a fun and collaborative experience. Center for Visual Artists (CVA)
The CVA hosts week-long themed art camps for ages 3-18 that focus on the exploration of art through hands-on guided learning, interactive art play, and skill development. Exclusive for teens are full-day intensive camps for portfolio development. Several camps are collaborative camps with CVA and the Drama Center. You must register online for collaboration camps. The summer concludes with the Annual Dirty Fingernails exhibition and celebration featuring a work of art from every camper.
Dance Project: the School at City Arts
Dance Project offers professional master classes for the serious dancer, weekly dance classes in a variety of dance genres for ages 18 months through adults, and half- and full-day camps for ages 3 through rising 10th graders. Several camps are collaborative camps with CVA and the Drama Center. You must register online for collaboration camps. Students of all ages and experience levels are sure to find something that moves them with the Dance Project.
Spend a day, week, or all summer with the School of Greensboro Ballet for its full season of dance opportunities. The popular Children’s Dance Camps for ages 3-6 include themes like princesses, flowers and fairies, Frozen, and more. Also offered are Dancers and Dolls Camp (Road Trip Around the USA theme), Sleeping Beauty Ballet Camp, Young Dancer’s Workshop, and open classes for dancers ages 3 and up. Community Theatre of Greensboro (CTG)
CTG offers theatre camps for ages 3-16 throughout the summer. Students will experience acting, singing, and dancing in weekly themed camps. We also offer two production camps during the summer where students have the opportunity to be involved in a full show.
