Making Memories Beautiful
As you begin to plan your outdoor wedding, the Greensboro Parks & Recreation Department invites you to consider one of our four beautiful gardens: Tanger Family Bicentennial Garden, Bog Garden, Greensboro Arboretum and Gateway Gardens. The Gardens of Greensboro are open year-round and may be reserved for wedding ceremonies on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Wedding Locations
- Tanger Family Bicentennial Garden is located at 1105 Hobbs Rd., just north of Friendly Avenue. Located in the center of the garden, the popular wedding gazebo area can accommodate 70-100 guests. The garden includes a wealth of plantings from mass plantings of annuals and perennial to flowering and canopy trees, all providing a perfect background for memorable wedding photographs.
- The Bog Garden is located at the corner of Hobbs Road and Starmount Farms Drive, across from Tanger Family Bicentennial Garden. This unique natural preserve features an elevated wood plank walkway. The Bog Garden has one area, Serenity Falls, that can accommodate small ceremonies for 25-70 guests, providing a delightful backdrop for photographs.
- The Greensboro Arboretum is located off West Market Street and Wendover Avenue. The wedding gazebo area accommodates 100-150* guests. This 17-acre garden features 12 permanent plant collections and special display gardens along with structural features, including a fountain, overlook, arbor, bridges and benches. Wedding guests will enjoy the year-round beauty of the garden.
- Gateway Gardens is located at 2800 E. Gate City Blvd. Spanning 11-acres, Gateway can host your intimate wedding in an art-filled botanical garden for up to 150* guests. Featuring several different sites throughout the garden, this playful and interactive garden features an edible children’s garden, book stage, outdoor reception patio, covered patio, Heritage Plaza Fountain, tree house, and event center.
