With nine locations throughout Greensboro, families love the convenience of our Community Recreation Center Day Camps.
- Ages: 5-12 years of age. All campers must have completed Kindergarten.
- Camper to Counselor Ratio: 1 to 12
- Cost: $85 per week, per child. This weekly fee will include the cost of field trips and swimming. Fee assistance is available. See Fee Assistance Application for more details.
Our goal is to provide a safe, structured, fun, and welcoming environment so every camper can:
Discover and fuel their sparks - those activities and interests that light a fire in their lives
Build supportive relationships with our camp family
Learn from new experiences that lay the groundwork for success when they return to school.
Each week is filled with fun activities including games, sports, wellness education, outside time, environmental education, creative play, and interest-based skill building. Campers can expect weekly field trips and swim time. Free lunch is served daily.
The Counselor-in-Training (CIT) Program offers teens -- ages 15-18 -- a chance to gain real work experience, service-learning hours, and leadership skills at one of Parks and Recreation's summer camp locations for at least three weeks. More information can be found here.
