Meet GYC's 2019-2020 Executive Board
Lupe Parada, GYC Chair
Lupe, a senior at the Middle College at UNCG, is serving as the 2019-2020 GYC chair. Her responsibilities include supervising the executive board, overseeing all GYC projects, and serving as office manager. Lupe previously served as the GYC fashion show chair. Lupe is very active in the community. In addition to GYC, she participates in the Real World Program and Diversity Club and volunteers with Habitat for Humanity. In her downtime, Lupe enjoys painting, learning new instruments, and watching Netflix.
Jessica Torres, Internal Affairs Director
This year's internal affairs director is Jessica Torres, a senior at the Middle College at UNCG. In her role, Jessica will assist in managing GYC social media platforms, ensure the recognition of volunteers, and oversee project evaluations. When not busy with school work or volunteering, she enjoys Latin soap operas, cooking, and painting.
Lela Smith, Recruiting Director
Lela is a junior at the Middle College at Bennett and is this year's recruiting director. Her position involves finding new and creative ways to increase GYC membership. Lela enjoys drawing and listening to music.
Iman Khan, Training Director
This year's training director is Iman Khan, a junior at Northern Guilford High School. This is her first year in GYC. In her role, Iman plans interactive trainings for the GYC Institute and energizers for meetings. She also volunteers with ICT Sunday School. Iman enjoys photography, traveling, and reading.
Aiden Howard, Records Director
Aiden is a sophomore at Cornerstone Charter Academy. His duties include keeping track of volunteer hours and planning socials for members and volunteers. Aiden also volunteers with the recycling club at his school and with Impact Journey School. He also participates in environmental and global warming advocacy and enjoys reading and animals.
