Ghoulash! is an annual festival featuring fall and Halloween themed activities led by the Greensboro Youth Council (GYC) in partnership with Greensboro Downtown Parks Inc.
The free event is held in downtown Greensboro each October. The festival is a family-friendly and spooktacular afternoon full of games, inflatables, face-painting, candy, and more.
This year Ghoulash will be held on Saturday, October 27 in conjunction with Downtown Trick or Treating provided by Vintage to Vogue Boutique and Downtown Greensboro Inc. Ghoulash activities will run from 2- 6 pm and Trick or Treating will run from 3-5 pm. Check below to see other activities and specific event times. Rain or shine the event will happen! In the event of rain some activities will not be offered such as bounce houses.
WhereDowntown Greensboro in Center City Park and LeBauer Park for Ghoulash activities and businesses along Elm Street and the surrounding area for trick or treating.
Free parking is available in the Church Street and Davie Street Parking Decks.

Activities with a Specific Time
Trick or Treating through downtown Greensboro: 3-5 pm
- Why the Teal Pumpkin? Several businesses will have a teal pumpkin displayed indicating treats are available for children with food allergies.
- Bags will be available while supplies last.
- A list of participating businesses will posted in early October.
- Performances on LeBauer Park stage
Costume Contest Information
Registration for each contest will begin at 2 pm for all contest and end 15 minutes or until all slots are filled, whichever comes first. We have a new category this year for groups and families! Think Power Rangers or the cast of your favorite show.
Only 25 contestants per each age group. Only 15 groups/families will be registered for that category.
Winners for each category will be announced immediately following the contest and judging.
Want to volunteer?
GYC is in need of high school volunteers to run major areas of the event such games, costume contests, and ticket selling. All volunteers must attend the Ghoulash Volunteer Training on Thursday, October 25. Visit the Volunteer Opportunities page for more details or sign up now!
