Purpose: The GYC Fashion Show promotes a positive self- and body-image for young men and women by showcasing fashions that fit all body types, as well as raises awareness about issues that affect teens, such as bullying.
Model Casting: Ready to show off your modeling skills? Attend the model casting on Wednesday, January 16 from 6-7 pm at the Greensboro Cultural Center, 200 N. Davie St. The casting is open to all eighth graders and high school students in Guilford County. There is no pre-registration or previous modeling experience required.
Selected models must attend mandatory practices during February and March as well as the show in March.
Theme: This year's theme will be announced in January.
Show: The show will be held on Friday, March 15, 2019. Doors open at 7:30 pm and the show begins at 8 pm.
2019 Fashion Show Chair: Lupe Parada, a junior at the Middle College at UNC-Greensboro is this year's Fashion Show Chair. She enjoys playing music and singing, drawing, and watching tv shows and movies. Lupe also serves a tutor with the Hope Academy.
