About the Camp
Growing Minds, Growing Communities is a two-week service-learning camp that integrates gardening, literacy, and education advocacy to help students understand how learning and access to resources strengthen communities. Throughout both weeks, campers will explore how food security, environmental stewardship, literacy, and education are interconnected issues that impact families and neighborhoods.
Participants will engage in hands-on activities, creative projects, and service opportunities with local community partners. Through volunteering, site visits, storytelling, and collaborative projects, campers will build leadership skills while learning how access to fresh food and education can help address poverty and create lasting community impact.
This camp encourages students to think critically, serve intentionally, and see themselves as active contributors to positive change in Greensboro.
Participants can earn up to 50 service hours per session. Please note that campers must participate fully during the session. Partial participation is not permitted.
