Polly Sizemore is a native of Greensboro who attended local public schools and obtained degrees from Appalachian State University, University of North Carolina at Greensboro and a law degree from Wake Forest University.

She practiced law with Nichols, Caffrey, Hill Evans
& Murelle now Hill Evans Jordan & Beatty from 1988-2007, concentrating in civil litigation and criminal defense. In 2007, she was appointed District Court Judge for the 18th District and served on the bench until December 2012. From 2013-15, she served an assistant public defender in Greensboro.

Sizemore is past president of the Greensboro Bar Association, Greensboro Criminal Defense Attorneys and Women’s Professional Forum.

Prior to joining the City, Andrea Harrell worked in private practice representing clients in a variety of litigation matters before state and federal courts. She has tried cases in both District and Superior Court and has handled appeals before the NC Court of Appeals and the US Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.

Harrell earned a dual degree in political science and sociology from UNC Chapel Hill and a juris doctorate from Elon University School of Law as a member of its charter class.

A Greensboro native, she followed her father to City government, from which he retired after a 30-year career.
