Case #: 1990-21615
Victim: Edward James Jordan

On February 1, 1990 at 1:55 am, Greensboro police responded to 610-B Martin St. in reference to a subject that had been stabbed. Upon arrival at the scene officers found Edward James Jordan, 46, in the bedroom of the residence. Jordan was transported to Moses Cone Hospital where he died from multiple stab wounds. Further investigation determined that the stabbing occurred at the intersection of Douglas St. and Martin Luther King Dr. 


Renita BrownCase #: 1990-67882
Victim: Renita Michelle Brown

On April 7, 1990 at 2:45 am, Renita Michelle Brown, was transported to Moses Cone Hospital by private vehicle. Upon arrival at the hospital it was determined that Brown was suffering from a stab wound. She was pronounced dead a short time later. It was later determined that the stabbing occurred in the area of Terrell and Orchard streets.

Victim: John Neese Sr.

On May 2, 1990 at 6:15 am, John Neese Sr. was found lying on the floor of his business, Wire Products Company, located at 1319 W. Lee St. suffering from a gunshot wound. Neese died later at a local hospital as a result. There is a Governor’s reward of $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible.

Victim: Musa Kamara

On September 25, 1990 shortly after 10 pm, Musa Kamara was shot by an unknown subject in front of 204 Swing Rd. Kamara had answered a knock at the door when the suspect pulled a gun and shot him. Kamara died a short time later.

Victim: Georgia Doe Watson

On November 11, 1990 at approximately 1:30 pm, Georgia Doe Watson was found dead in a business parking lot at 403 King St. Watson’s 1989 Daihatsu Charade was found in the area of her body.

Victim: Duc Dung Vo

On February 1, 1991 Duc Dung Vo was fatally shot during the commission of a robbery at his jewelry story located at 1706 Spring Garden St.

Victim: Unidentified

In the fall of 1991, Greensboro detectives were arresting a defendant in another murder investigation. Upon search of the defendant’s home, an unidentified male human skull was found. An examination of the skull at the Chief Medical Examiner’s Office revealed trauma existed to an extent that the manner of death of the unidentified male was ruled a homicide.

Victim: Sadie Louise Farmer

On October 28, 1991 Sadie Louise Farmer was found fatally shot at 909 E. Bragg St. inside the residence. There is a Governor's reward of up to $5,000 for an arrest and conviction in this case. 

Bernice Robinson

Victim: Denise Bernice Robinson

On September 22, 1992 Denise Bernice Robinson was located dead in a wooded area near Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. and East McCullough St. Her death was ruled a homicide.

Victim: Mark Tyrone Vanstory

On February 7, 1993 at 3:05 am, Greensboro officers were called to 2312 East Bessemer St., the Side Effects, in reference to a subject down. Upon arrival at the scene officers found Mark Tyrone Vanstory lying on the ground in the parking lot. Vanstory was transported to Moses Cone Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Further investigation revealed that Vanstory died from multiple gunshot wounds. There is a Governor’s reward of $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible.

Victim: Ottley Roy Lloyd

On February 28, 1993, at 3527-A N. Elm St., Valley Ridge Apartments, Ottley Roy Lloyd also known as Peter Lloyd was shot when several intruders forced their way into the front door of his apartment. Further investigation revealed that Lloyd died from multiple gunshot wounds. 

Ybok Siu

Victim: Ybhok Siu

On August 2, 1993 at 9:30 pm, at 2000 W. Florida St., the Coliseum Discount Market, Ybhok Siu, a store employee, was shot. Siu died as a result of a gunshot wound that occurred during a robbery. There is a Governor’s reward of $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible.

On August 26, 1993 at 5:35 pm, Greensboro officers were called to 757 - A Percy St. in reference to a subject down. Upon arrival at the scene officers found Mildred Beamer, 31, dead in the residence. Further investigation revealed that Beamer died from blunt force trauma.

Victim: John Brown

On April 7, 1994 at 12:15 pm, Greensboro officers were called in reference to a trespasser sleeping in a building located at 318 Isley St. Upon arrival at the scene officers found John Brown lying on the floor unconscious. Brown was transported to Moses Cone Hospital where he later died. Further Investigation revealed that Brown died from blunt trauma of the head.

Victim: Edward McCollum

On August 30, 1994 at 9:40 pm, Greensboro officers were called to 1917 Martin Luther King Dr., The Gillespie Curb Market, in reference to an assault. Upon arrival at the scene officers found Edward McCollum lying on the ground unconscious. McCollum was transported to Moses Cone Hospital where he later died. Further investigation revealed that McCollum died from blunt force trauma.

Gregory Barnhardt

Victim: Gregory Delane Barnhardt

On January 12, 1995 around 2:30 am, in the 1800 Block of Carver Dr., the Morningside Homes, Gregory Delane Barnhardt was shot. Barnhardt was transported to Moses Cone Hospital where he was later pronounced dead. There is a Governor’s reward of $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible.

Victim: Nathaniel Myles

On April 11, 1995 at 3:25 am, at 807 Willard St., Nathaniel Myles was shot when intruders forced their way into the residence. Further investigation revealed that Myles died from multiple gunshot wounds.

Victim: Marquis Antonio Anderson

On April 22, 1995 at 2:05 am, Greensboro officers were called to 2838 S. Elm Eugene St., the Ramada Limit, in reference to a fight. Upon arrival at the scene officers found Marquis Antonio Anderson lying on the ground in the parking lot. Anderson was pronounced dead at the scene as a result of multiple gunshot wounds. There is a Governor’s reward of $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible.

On July 12, 1995 at 1:15 pm, Greensboro officers were called to Wimbledon Ln. in reference to a found body. Upon arrival at the scene officers found Bejay Hornedo lying on the ground. Further investigation revealed that Hornedo died from multiple gunshot wounds.

Victim: James Pruitt

On August 20, 1995 at 3:15 pm, Greensboro officers were called to 302 W. Camel St. in reference to a found body. Upon arrival at the scene officers found James Pruitt, 83, lying on the floor of the residence. Further investigation revealed that Pruitt died from blunt force injuries of the head.

Kimantha Haith

Victim: Kimantha Haith

On October 30, 1995 at 7:35 am, Greensboro officers were called to 4215 Galway Dr. in reference to a found body. Upon arrival at the scene officers found Kimantha Haith shot. Further investigation revealed that Haith died from multiple gunshot wounds.

Antonio Gonzales

Victim: Antonio Jose Gonzales

On May 4, 1996 at 11:40 pm, Greensboro officers were called to 3208- F Trent St. in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival at the scene officers found Antonio Jose Gonzales lying on the ground. Gonzales was transported to Moses Cone Hospital where he later died. Further investigation revealed that Mr. Gonzales died from multiple gunshot wounds.

Joe Parker Jr

Victim: Joe Norman Parker

On August 2, 1996 Joe Norman “Skipper” Parker was found fatally shot in his truck off the roadway on NC-68 near Airport Pkwy. There is a Governor’s reward of $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible.

On October 21, 1996 at 2:30 am, Ron Jernal Ewing was fatally shot outside of the Pure Passion Night Club located at 4645-B W. Market St. There is a Governor’s reward of $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible.

On April 28, 1997 at 3:13 pm, Robert Allen Ledwell, 29, was found dead in his residence, 3818-F Overland Height. Further investigation revealed that Ledwell died from a gunshot wound. There is a Governor’s reward of $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible.

On November 14, 1997 at 11:40 pm, Greensboro officers were called to 3918- C Hahns Ln. in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival at the scene officers found Everitt Antonio Watlington lying at the entrance of the residence. Further investigation revealed that Watlington died from multiple gunshot wounds.

On November 25, 1997 at 8:05 am, Greensboro officers were called to 2617-E. Market St. in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival at the scene officers found Lakeesha Danielle Wright dead in the residence. Further investigation revealed Wright died from multiple gunshot wounds.

On March 21, 1998 at 10:05 pm, Greensboro officers were called to the intersection of Phillips Avenue and Joyce Street in reference to a vehicle accident. Upon arrival at the scene officers found James Eric Hannah inside of the vehicle. Hannah was transported to Moses Cone Hospital where he was later pronounced dead. Further investigation revealed that Hannah died from a gunshot wound.

Victim: Jonathan Eddie Hartley

On April 10, 1998 the body of Jonathan Eddie Hartley was located dead at the intersection of N. Elm Street and Willoughby Boulevard near the lakeside. A crime scene was later determined to be in another area of Greensboro. Further investigation revealed that Hartley died from gunshot wounds.

On September 2, 1998 at 7:40 am, Greensboro officers were called to 502- B Mystic Dr. in response to a subject down. Upon arrival at the scene officers found Cheree Danelle Williams dead in the residence. Further investigation revealed that Williams died from multiple gunshot wounds. There is a Governor’s reward of $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible.

On July 3, 1999 at 9:45 pm, Greensboro officers were called to 1501 Textile Dr. in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival at the scene officers found Jose Guadalupe Castro dead inside of a vehicle. Further investigation revealed that Castro died from a gunshot wound to the back.

On October 2, 1999 at 2:45 pm, Greensboro officers were called to 1301 Kindley St. in reference to a vehicle accident. Upon arrival at the scene officers found Brian Carlton Sullivan inside of the vehicle. Sullivan was transported to Moses Cone hospital where he was pronounced dead. Further investigation revealed that Sullivan died from multiple gunshot wounds. It was later determined that the shooting occurred at 1004 Woodlark Dr.
