Your view of us is important
In 2011, the Greensboro Police Department commissioned a community survey designed to measure Greensboro residents’ perceptions of crime and safety, and perceptions about Greensboro Police. We used MarketWise Inc., which applied quantitative and qualitative market research methods to provide the City with an understanding of key issues.
At the beginning of 2013, we again commissioned MarketWise to repeat the survey to see if there have been any changes in important areas during the past two years. In 2015, we conducted a similar survey with Research Strategies Inc. View the survey results.

By examining our strengths and weaknesses, we can develop more effective strategies, better allocate resources, and implement best professional practices to improve our relationships with the community, reduce crime, and improve the quality of life in Greensboro.

Professional Standards Reports
Read the Greensboro Police Department's 2016, 2015, 2014, 2013, 2012 and 2011 Professional Standards Annual Reports. These documents look at key topics that can affect public trust. The reports contain analyses of seven types of incidents that police routinely investigate throughout the year: citizen complaints, uses of force, in-custody deaths, forcible entries, vehicle pursuits, motor vehicle collisions, and employee injuries.
