The Office of Community Engagement manages the police department's College-Level Internship Program, which provides an opportunity to experience real-world law enforcement applications.
Interns work on multiple projects to expand their knowledge and provide work-based experience that better prepares them for a career in law enforcement.
Applications for internships should be submitted during the “application” period designated by the Internship Coordinator. All applications received after the deadline will be considered for the next semester period.
Once the application period has ended, all applicants will undergo an extensive background check. Those who pass the background check will be reviewed by the hiring committee, which is responsible for selecting interns.
