Get On Board For Public Transit April 25!
Transit agencies across the Triad and nation will recognize public transportation's important role in quality of life, economic development and sustainability with Get on Board Day. On Thursday, April 25, the public can ride fare free on GTA, HEAT, SCAT, PART Express, Winston Salem Transit Authority and High Point Transit System buses. We encourage you to use the time to experience the benefits of public transit, and learn ways you can support the Get On Board For Public Transit movement!

The GTA Board Meeting scheduled for April 23 had been cancelled.
Help Us Build For Our Community
As we experience the anniversary of the tornado that caused destruction in East Greensboro, you are invited to join our operators and staff in the GTA Helping Hands Group Build for Habitat for Humanity. Saturday, May 18 7:45 am to 3 pm. The site address, located along GTA Route 6 will be announced. Lunch will be served, but participation is limited on a first-come, first-served basis. Team Keolis/GTA...Play Ball!
GTA along with KeolisNA is proud to announce the inaugural season of Keolis/GTA Youth Baseball. As part of Greensboro Parks and Recreation "A" League, the team will play a series of games through late May. Check out the game schedule and come out to support Coach Baskerville and the team for a fun-filled season!
Final Stretch for Transit Plan
A final public hearing for the Mobility Greensboro 2040 Short Term Plan is scheduled for Tuesday, April 23 at 5:30 pm in the GTA Board Room. The public is invited to review the final recommendations that will go into effect July 1. See the plan here.
Users of Specialized Community Area Transportation (SCAT) will soon find a new way to travel in Greensboro. I-Ride by SCAT launches February 1 with private, on-demand transportation providing door-to-door service for one flat cost. Learn more on the I-Ride page.

Temporary Detour in Affect for Route 8
Due to construction around Cotswald Avenue, GTA Route 8 Battleground Avenue will operate on an updated detour until further notice. The current outbound route will turn right on Cotswald, left on Old Battleground, and left on Battleground inbound. We apologize for the inconvenience.

GTA offers a free Discount Identification Card that gives holders half-price fares if they: are a veteran, senior citizen (60 years or older), are a student (6-18 years), receive Medicaid/Medicare, or have a disability.
