The North Carolina Department of Transportation Rail Division is conducting a study on a future project recommended in the East Guilford Traffic Separation Study. The Lowdermilk Street / Pine Street Crossing Closure Study will determine the best ways to eliminate one of the existing at-grade railroad crossings.

The project (Y-4807 B) is funded with right-of-way in 2018 followed by construction starting in 2019.
