This study was conducted to determine the feasibility of widening existing Sandy Ridge Road from I-40 to West Market Street and widening Pleasant Ridge Road from West Market Street to NC 68. The completed study will help GDOT and NCDOT prioritize the recommended improvements based on available future funding.
The estimated availability of construction funding for Sandy Ridge Road improvements is expected after 2020, while funding for Pleasant Ridge Road improvements may not become available until after 2030.
