Safe Routes to School is a national initiative which supports the planning, development, and implementation of projects and activities to encourage children of all abilities to walk or bike to school. 

Greensboro Safe Routes 2 School (SR2S) is part of the NCDOT Safe Routes to School grant program and is focused on promoting the benefits of active transportation through education and events. Greensboro public and private schools are invited to become members.
