For many years, City water and sewer residential customers received four utility bills a year -- one each quarter. With the City's shift to Automated Meter Reading (AMR), the City is now sending monthly bills to all utility customers.
Monthly water and sewer bills provide frequent, timely feedback about your water consumption. In the past, a leak may not have been detected until the end of your three-month billing cycle and, as a result, you would end up paying for a leak for three months rather than only one. In addition, monthly billing makes it easier for you to budget for water and sewer costs.
The process of changing all water and sewer customers to monthly billing was completed in December of 2008.
