Water Conservation Poster Contest Information

The City of Greensboro sponsors an annual poster contest, open to all Guilford County students in grades K-8 (public, private, and home schools). The contest encourages students to explore the vital role of water in our lives and the importance of conservation.

Local Judging and Winners:
Posters will be judged in three divisions: Kindergarten-2nd, 3rd-5th, and 6th-8th. Winners will be selected based on depiction of the theme, originality of work, creativity, spelling/grammar/mechanics, and aesthetics (overall presentation). Local winners will be announced in the spring and receive special recognition from the City’s Water Resources Department and a prize.

State Competition:
The winning posters from each division will represent Greensboro in a statewide competition sponsored by NC One Water (formerly NC AWWA-WEA). The winners of the state competition will receive monetary awards and certificates for first, second, and third place in each division.
